Why I started Marius Works
While leading product launches, annual strategic planning and governing a portfolio of tech and mobile app deployments at Apple, Cisco and McDonald’s, I redesigned organisational structures and workflows, so my teams would execute faster and more accurately.
In one instance, after seeing a well-resourced team spend eight weeks on one strategic prioritisation escalation around the tech roadmap, I traced why it took this long to resolve. For the following planning cycle, I set up our Planning & Governance function to manage the planning and prioritisation process.
That meant putting in place more rigour in process, automation and dashboards to provide transparency for the team and a quicker path for escalation to leadership, where needed. As a result, I completed similar prioritisation discussions after simple email exchanges with three senior directors. Each productivity gain freed my team to tackle other pressing issues, and the function grew from there.
Discovering that this is the work that inspires me most led me to start Marius Works. I know how to organise people, processes and tools, and I am someone who will investigate independently and get hands-on to resolve the problems impacting your teams and customers.
